These Terms & Conditions outline the agreement between Aptitude Associates, Inc. and the project owner or client. By engaging with our services, you agree to the following terms.

Project Scope & Standards

All work will be completed in accordance with the agreed proposal, applicable laws, and industry standards. This agreement represents the full understanding between all parties and supersedes any prior discussions.

Changes & Additional Work

Any changes to the original scope of work that result in additional labor, materials, or costs will be the responsibility of the client. This includes unforeseen conditions such as structural damage or material issues that arise during the project.

Project Timeline

We strive to complete all work in a timely manner. However, delays may occur due to factors outside of our control, including weather conditions, material availability, labor issues, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Permits, Fees & Taxes

Where required, we will assist with permitting. All associated fees, taxes, assessments, and charges required by local authorities or utilities remain the responsibility of the client.

Payments

Payment terms are outlined in your project agreement. Final payment is due upon substantial completion of the project. Failure to make timely payments may result in work stoppage and additional collection costs.

Client Responsibilities

The client is responsible for maintaining appropriate property insurance and assumes risk of loss for materials and work completed until final payment is made. Any damage caused by third parties or external factors will be the client’s responsibility.

Contractor Rights

Aptitude Associates reserves the right to:

• Pause work if payments are not made as agreed
• Substitute materials with equal or greater quality when necessary
• Cancel a project if conditions prevent proper installation

Project Completion

For permitted projects, completion is determined by local building authority approval. For non-permitted work, completion is determined by Aptitude Associates. We will ensure the site is left clean and orderly upon completion.

Warranty

We provide a limited one-year warranty covering defects in workmanship within the scope of work performed. This warranty applies only to the specific areas serviced and does not cover damage caused by external factors, structural issues, weather conditions, or lack of maintenance.

Limitation of Liability

Aptitude Associates is not responsible for incidental or consequential damages related to materials or labor. Certain repair projects may be temporary in nature, and ongoing maintenance may be required.

Legal

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Florida, with jurisdiction in Hillsborough County. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
